We celebrated the UNICEF day for change on the 6th February. Everyone brought a small bag of loose change to school, even the adults, and we placed them to create a ‘montage’ we wrote our school name and a heart as we were doing it for a caring cause. We learned about the typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines and how it had destroyed homes, schools, villages, towns and communities. Our pennies when put together will help to pay for school supplies, clean water, clean food, clothes and blankets for the people who still suffer from the effects of the typhoon. A big thank you goes to the children and families of Acre Rigg Infants and the kind donations for the cause.
